Extremely durable, chemical and abrasion resistant plastic with a very low coefficient of friction make this a versatile material for many severe service applications. Materials slide freely with no slip/stick tendencies. UHMW polyethylene tape will outwear TEFLON™ many times over and is a good replacement where high temperature resistance is not required. Available in 0.003” (423-3), 0.005” (423-5) and 0.010” (423-10.)
APPLICATIONS:
Abrasion resistant tape is perfect as a non-stick bearing surface in conveyor, chute and guide rail applications. Will not stain paper or wood. Can be used as a lubrication strip in drawer assemblies. May be used in contact with food prepared under Federal supervision.
